WHY CONNECT GROUPS?
Just like the early church grew out of the group of 12 disciples that spent time together developing close relationships with Jesus & each other, we believe it is in the smaller groups that each of us can best be connected to the larger Body of the church through:
- Authentic relationships.
- Healthy conflict.
- A place where truth meets life.
- Pastoral care.
- Leadership development.
WHAT IS A CONNECT GROUP?
Connect Group is simply our term for a small group. Any group is a small group if it has about a dozen people, more or less, and allows for more intimate interaction than the large group does during Sunday morning worship.
Groups meet around the idea of what Jesus said summarized the entire Bible: Love God & Love Others enough to Produce Disciples of Jesus Christ – to become the people God calls us to be.
WHO ARE INCLUDED IN CONNECT GROUPS?
It is our hope that everyone who desires will have access to and eventually become part of a meaningful small group.
We have several small group opportunities to achieve our purpose of growing in our relationship with Jesus, accomplishing the work of the Church & living life together. The different options are meant to allow flexibility in matching your schedule & needs.
WHEN & WHERE ARE THE CONNECT GROUPS?
Times and places vary from Sunday morning Study Groups & ministry groups (like ushering or the children’s ministries), to weekday and evening Bible studies, to monthly and quarterly gatherings. Some groups meet throughout the year, while some groups are a short-term commitment, such as Alpha.
